White Oak UK, one of the UK’s largest alternative providers of SME finance, is delighted to announce that Mike Green, Payouts and Treasury Manager at White Oak UK has received top honours at the Leasing Life Awards, having been named as Young Professional of the Year.

As part of the broader awards, the Young Professional of the Year category recognises those individuals who have demonstrated the depth of their talent and the breadth of their expertise in the leasing and asset finance industry.

Judged by the Leasing Life editorial team, the awards ceremony took place on Thursday 15th November in Tallinn, Estonia.

Peter Alderson, Managing Director of White Oak UK, said:

“In a sector that identifies an ongoing issue with attracting new talent, recognising up and coming talent is key. White Oak UK looks after, invests in and develops its employees and as a result, the firm has won this award three years in a row, following on from Ben McPheat last year and Matt Phillips the year previously.”

Having joined White Oak UK in 2011, Mike has helped drive positive change through his innovative approach to deal processing and treasury.

In addition to overseeing the ever-increasing volume of own book transactions, Mike also maintains responsibility for several external funding lines, including a £150 million senior debt line with Citi, a £51 million line with the British Business Bank and a £40 million blocking line with Aldermore.

Peter continued:

“We are thrilled that Mike has been recognised for his hard work and believe that it reflects White Oak UK’s commitment to providing the best service to our customers, by constantly developing our staff in key roles to elevate them to award winning levels.”
